More about how our cooperative beekeeping works

Cooperative beekeeping works in a similar way, but the arrangements can vary between different cooperative beekeeping operations. This is our version!

The honey harvest of cooperative beekeeping hives in one and the same apiary is mixed and distributed equally regardless of which hive you belong to. On the one hand, you spread any risks of a bad harvest between each other and, above all, it facilitates handling when throwing and the distribution of the honey.

The operating mode of the co-operative hives is natural "normal beekeeping" where the queens are free and the bees are managed with organic methods. Each cooperative hive will also contribute to expanded beekeeping, as each society contributes to a small new society of 5 frames annually which is then allowed to grow strongly.

Honey etc
All co-ownerships include a share of the harvest from a hive. You will get at least one, most likely two types of honey. An early summer honey that is often lighter and smoother in taste and a late summer honey with a more characteristic aroma and taste and usually a darker color. In a very good year, we harvest two or three times.

The yield from a hive can vary between nothing in a bad year and an incredible 80kg in a really good year, but the average is around 30-35kg. Each share corresponds to 1/10 of the harvest from a hive.

By ordering, the buyer is aware that the harvest may vary!

In cooperative farming, the financial risk is shared jointly between producer and consumer. It is impossible to know in advance the exact size of the harvest as the bees are strongly dependent on the weather. Should it be too cold or too windy, the bees will not fly and if it rains, they need to use the already collected nectar and honey inside the hive until the weather is good enough for them to fly again. Rain and sun affect the plants producing more or fewer flowers and the amount of nectar they can provide.

Do I need to do anything?
The simple answer is: buy your share and collect your harvest. We take care of all the practical work in the apiary with care, honey harvesting, throwing and dropping the honey into jars. When everything is ready, you will be told that you are welcome to stop by the farm and pick up your share!

This is how it works
You buy a share of the harvest from the apiary in advance. The percentage refers to the average yield per hive in the apiary, which increases your chances of getting a honey harvest even if an individual colony wouldn't produce that well during the year. You can collect the honey from us on the farm, where you can also visit the apiary at the same time.

When harvesting during the season, you will receive a notification and can choose for yourself whether you want to collect immediately or wait until the end of the season. Liquid, completely untreated honey can only be collected in connection with the harvest, which means that in that case you need to collect honey several times during the season.

Follow your bees
You can always follow all the work on the farm via Instagram and on Facebook under the name Villa Blomstergren (villablomstergren.se). You will also be invited to this year's closed cooperative beekeeper group on Facebook, where you can buzz about the cooperative beehives in depth together with the other cooperative owners and us who take care of the bees. As a cooperative beekeeper, you also get priority access to next year's shares before they are announced.

ATTENTION! No, collected honey goes to Villa Blomstergren and is then seen as a sponsorship. The last date for collecting honey is December 1 of the current cooperative year.


We have a winter survival guarantee and a guarantee of good spring development!

Winter survival guarantee : If the bee colony to which the share belongs dies during the winter, you will be assigned a new bee colony.

Good spring development guarantee : The bee colony must be in good condition and have good conditions to be productive. The guarantees are valid until May 1. After that, it is up to nature and the bees how things will go. Of course, the guarantee does not apply if there should be a natural disaster or if something unforeseeable unnatural should happen.

When you order cooperative beekeeping, you also agree that you are on the cooperative beekeeping e-mail list. This is to simplify our mailings to you. When the membership year is over, the email list is deleted.

When you complete a purchase via the website or on Facebook, you agree to all of the conditions below.

Ordering

When you have completed your order, an order confirmation will be sent to your email address. In the confirmation you will find all information about products, price and delivery address. If there is an error in the order confirmation, you must immediately contact villablomstergren.se.

Delivery

For orders to be picked up, we will agree on a time.

Shipping costs

Cooperative honey is only sold for collection. Meeting at another location for a delivery fee which will be announced in advance.

When buying honey and other products, these are sent against the applicable shipping cost with Post Nord, DHL or Schenker. Shipping is paid by the customer.

Freezer and refrigerated goods are not sent.

Prices

All prices in the store are stated in SEK including VAT. VAT is specified in the order confirmation and on the invoice.

Reservation for price changes caused by a price change from the supplier, misprints in the price list and inaccuracies in prices due to incorrect information. We reserve the right to adjust the price.

Payment

Goods to be sent with logistics companies are always paid in advance.
Goods that are picked up or delivered are paid for in advance or upon delivery.
Payment against invoice is only permitted for business customers.

Payment options are transfer to the bank account specified on the invoice or Swish transfer. We are approved for F tax.

Right of withdrawal, complaint and complaint

When purchasing goods on the website, you as a customer have a 14-day right of cancellation that applies from the time you have received an item that you have ordered. Exceptions are found and described below and/or in the product specification.

When exercising your right of withdrawal

You must notify us in writing within 14 days of receiving the item that you regret it. In your message, your name, your address, email address, the order number and which goods the return applies to must be clearly stated.
You should return the products as soon as possible after the cancellation notice, but no later than within 14 days. You are responsible for return shipping, delivery and condition of the products upon return. The products should therefore be sent well packaged and in their original packaging.
From the refund amount, we reserve the right to deduct an amount corresponding to the reduction in value compared to the original value of the product in the case of a used or damaged product. For broken seals and for goods damaged during customer handling or during return shipping, the reduction in value is 100%.

The right of withdrawal does not apply if:

  • Printing or proofreading errors in printed matter.
  • Sealed products where the seal is broken.
  • Custom-made product, which has been tailored especially for you or has a clear personal touch according to your wishes.
  • Services that have been completed and where you have consented to the start of the service without right of withdrawal.
  • Goods that can quickly deteriorate due to incorrect handling or storage, or due to storage time (applies, for example, to freshly thrown honey, pollen or other foodstuffs).
  • Limited right of withdrawal and other conditions apply to cooperative honey/cooperative beekeeping.

Booked share can be canceled free of charge until April 25. Booked but unpaid share will be canceled on 26 April. Paid share cannot be canceled (no right of withdrawal).

Share booked during the winter period (October-March) is confirmed immediately but is only invoiced after the bees' first spring flight, approximately in March when it is known that they have passed the winter.

In the event that the units are fully subscribed, a queuing system is applied to any canceled units.

By ordering, the consumer is aware that in the worst case, the harvest may not be possible at all. No guarantee is provided for the return on the share. The size of the share's return and non-return are not grounds for a right of withdrawal.

The honey is collected according to agreement. Home delivery can take place for a shipping fee, which in this case will be announced in advance.

Share honey that has not been collected on December 1 of the current year may be sold to another customer, unless a later date for collection has been agreed.

Special conditions for gift cards

When purchasing a gift card, the share certificate is issued after registration with us. The gift card must be activated by registration. Registration is easiest via a message to villa@blomstergren.se. Registration must take place before April 25 for the year to which the gift card relates. The card is valid no later than one year after purchase or until April 25 for the intended shareholder year, whichever comes first.

Claims and complaints

If a product is damaged when you receive it, we will rectify the fault free of charge in accordance with current consumer protection legislation. You must always contact us for approval before returning a defective item.
The complaint must be sent immediately after the defect has been discovered.

Here's how to make a complaint

Faults in goods or parts of goods purchased via the website must be reported to villa@blomstergren.se. Enter name, address, email address, order number and a description of the error.

In the first instance, we fix the error or deliver an equivalent product. If this is not possible, we will refund you for the defective product in accordance with current consumer protection legislation. We are responsible for return shipping in the event of approved complaints.
We reserve the right to refuse a complaint if it turns out that the product is not faulty in accordance with current consumer protection legislation. In the case of complaints, we follow guidelines from the General Complaints Board, see arn.se.

Limitation of liability

We accept no responsibility for indirect damages that may arise due to products you have purchased from us.

We accept no responsibility for delays/failures as a result of circumstances outside the company's control (Force Majeure), such as labor disputes, fire, war, authority decisions, reduced or non-delivery by suppliers.

Furthermore, no responsibility is taken for any changes to products/product characteristics that have been changed by the respective supplier and other factors beyond our control.

Your information can be used for marketing purposes regarding Villablomstergren, for example for next season when you will have the opportunity to book a new share before the shares are announced.

We reserve the right to make changes to the terms and conditions at any time. Changes to the terms will be posted online on the website. The amended terms and conditions are considered accepted in connection with orders or visits to the website.

Dispute and choice of law

In the event that a dispute cannot be resolved amicably between TEAMX3M AB (Villablomstergren) and you, you as a customer can turn to the Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden, see arn.se. In the event of a dispute, we follow the decision of ARN or the corresponding dispute resolution body.
Disputes regarding the interpretation or application of these general terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with Swedish law.
